It is with great pleasure that we announce the 4th Annual Memorial Weekend in Mitchell event benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Mitchell Main Street & Beyond. Our city-wide celebration will be held on May 27-29 at different locations around Mitchell, mainly convening on Main Street.
This year’s event promises to be spectacular. We will be hosting Raffles, Silent Auction, Live Auction, Children’s events/games, Poker Walk, Rides, Car, Bike, Mud Truck and Race car show and shines, Golf tournament, live music & street dance. We are asking you to support our efforts by being one of our event sponsors.

The 2011 Memorial Weekend in Mitchell event is crucial to our fundraising efforts to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a devastating lung and digestive disease that affects over 300,000 children and young people in the United States.
SmartMoney Magazine has recognized the CF Foundation as the most efficient voluntary health organization in the country with 90 cents of each dollar going to research or patient assistance. Our goal this coming Memorial Weekend to raise $65,000 to fund research and care for those who struggle with CF. Last year we raised $35,000 and have great expectations for 2010.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has long been committed to funding cutting-edge research to combat this disease, and we are proud of the progress we have made thus far. Not only are there 30 prospective new CF therapies at various stages along the drug development pipeline, we are close to treating the actual defect in the gene that causes CF. We are also pleased to announce that the median age for survival is now 38 years of age, and we will continue to “add tomorrows every day” with your support.
Your participation will further our leadership role in medical science and continue to fuel the remarkable progress of CF research. Money buys science, and science saves lives.
