The Memorial Weekend Event
Since 2002, the members of the Memorial Weekend in Mitchell committee have held a Poker Run sponsored by Klockwerks, the Moonlight Bar, Miedema Sanitation, and Porter Distributing. With the assistance of the City of Mitchell and the Mitchell Convention and Visitors Bureau in closing Main Street from The Depot to 6th Street on the Saturday of Memorial Weekend, the MWIM committee was able to turn this “Run” into a city-wide event. Memorial Weekend in Mitchell helps raise awareness of and funding for cystic fibrosis.
